Hello, this is Jorge de Leon, and in today's episode we are going to be talking about what makes the difference between an average real estate agent and what makes them an extraordinary agent. And this is breaking barriers from average to extraordinary. And the point is that every real estate agent starts somewhere right. Some remain stuck in the average, barely scraping by, while others propel themselves into the extraordinary. They build a legacy of success, influence and financial freedom. What makes the difference? What separates those who struggle from those who thrive? Well, the truth is that becoming a breakthrough agent requires a mindset shift, intentional actions and an unwavering commitment to growth. And if you're ready to move from average to extraordinary, here's the roadmap to transformation. And this is from interviewing and observing hundreds, if not thousands, of agents in my 30-year career in this profession. So, number one develop a growth mindset.
Speaker 1:Extraordinary agents know that success isn't just about luck. It's about learning, adapting and evolving. They invest in continuous education, seek mentorship and embrace challenges as opportunities to improve. So ask yourself are you actively sharpening your skills? Do you seek out the higher level training, marketing, insights and coaching to stay ahead? Yeah, you should ask yourself that question. Are you open to that type of challenge?
Speaker 1:Number two master the art of differentiation, and I've actually spoken to many of my agents throughout the last couple of years about the art of differentiation. And what do we mean by this? It's a crowded industry. The agents who stand out are those who craft a unique value proposition. They just don't sell homes. They sell experiences, solutions and results. So identify what makes you different and then own it. So this is an action step that you should take. You should define your personal brand. What do you offer that others don't? Are you an expert in a specific neighborhood? Are you fluent in another language or a master negotiator? Leverage your strengths to create distinction.
Speaker 1:Number three build a magnetic presence. Yes, an extraordinary agent doesn't wait for business. They actually attract it. Yes, they attract it. They dominate social media, create compelling content and engage with their audience authentically. Their presence is felt online and offline. So a question to consider Are you consistent in marketing yourself? Do potential clients see you as a trusted authority in your field? Good questions, right. How about your client's experience? Yes, elevate your client experience.
Speaker 1:This is point number four. A breakthrough agent prioritizes service over sales. They anticipate client needs, provide value at every step and deliver an experience that earns a lifelong loyalty and referrals. So going above and beyond is not optional, it's a standard. So here's a pro tip Follow up with long after you know you have to follow up way long after the deal is closed. Offer resources, check in on home anniversaries and be the go-to experts they can always rely on. And we recently did this with one of our clients Unannounced. We went over to the door and they shared that they were having a little bit of a challenge at their HOA and we were able to provide a resource to be able to get that resolved way. And we were able to provide a resource to be able to get that resolved.
Speaker 1:Number five leverage systems and automation. And I just had a conversation with one of the leaders of this, one of our partners in this organization, and he has become a master in making systems. So leverage systems and automation Time is the most valuable asset that we have. The best agents use a CRM, they use an automated marketing and they also have a streamlined processes to free up time for high impact activities. The less you chase, the more you attract. That's the truth of the matter. So here's the challenge Identify areas in your business where automation can replace manual work. Implement tools that allow you to focus on relationship building and deal making.
Speaker 1:Number six surround yourself with the right people. This is key. Success leaves clues, and proximity matters. Lived experience, folks, lived experience on my behalf. For me, learn it from me. Surrounding myself with the right people has actually provided and opened up doors that otherwise would have not been able to, I would have not necessarily been able to recognize. So who you associate will either elevate or hold you back. Align yourself with top producers, industry leaders and mentors who push you to be better. In other words, go where other pros go to grow. Yes, I'm actually borrowing that quote, but yes, pros go, you know. Follow people that are going to, you know that are growing. Follow them because pros go where they are going to grow. So here's the takeaway If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room.
Speaker 1:So again, surrounding yourself with the right people helps those that go from average to extraordinary. So here's one that is very important you have to take massive action, and I always think about Omar in Las Vegas. He's a real estate agent that I've known for several years and he always talks about taking massive action. There's no shortcut to extraordinary. The top agents show up daily, make the calls, nurture relationships and put in the work even when they don't feel like it. They understand that success is built on consistent, purposeful action. So here's a final thought Breakthrough doesn't happen overnight, but with the right strategy, mindset and execution, you can transform your career from average to extraordinary. The only question is are you ready to take the leap? So join the movement.
